2nd Week

Alright, so i made it through the second week of classes - it was really good - tuesday and wednesday are really long, but once i hit thursday, i'm golden!! thursday all we do is have hillsong women, which is a service totally devoted to women, to let them know they are valued and treasured in the church here and it's also an outreach for women in the area - i serve on the hospitality team for that so i get to serve coffee/tea, or be at the toast station or walk around with platters of fruit, it varies from week to week - this week i was on toast, i love the toast station, it's so much fun - it's funny because we are only there for 1/2 serving and even in that time they give us a 10 minute break - we are there at 8 am to help set up, and then there's a prayer meeting at 9 and then we start around 9:15 getting everything going - the actual meeting itself starts at 10am - this week was really amazing - the message just really spoke to me - it was about us being pioneer women - really stepping up and leading the way - we are to cling to Jesus, be persistant, give our finest, love people and love God, and be a warrior - and for some reason while i'm writing this i can't think of exactly what it was that spoke to me, but it was amazing message - this is nothing new for me though, people would ask me all the time how was service and i would say "great" and they would ask what was so great about it and i couldn't remember!! haha so yeah that's just me - anyways thursday afternoon was weekly ministry and we were preparing to go onto our uni campus next week for their orientation week - we are going to have a booth there - our club is called Hillsong United Campus - and so we were trying ot figure out what kind of atmosphere we want to have and stuff like that - it was rather fun - i'm really excited for the impact that we are going to have this year there - oh and then for my weekend ministry i found out that i get to be involved with powerhouse which is our youth aged 18-25 here on friday nights, i'm on door greeting and last night i helped usher people to their seats if they couldn't find them - it was fun - got to meet a couple of guys who were new and i was trying to get them connected into a connect group and stuff and i don't know for sure, but i think the one guy might've went down to the front for the altar call for giving their lives to Christ, because i looked over and he wasn't in his seat for that part - so that was rather exciting, super nice guys and they are hoping to come to church and come back to powerhouse next week - also i get to do car park as they call it here on sundays which is directing cars to their parking spot - those of you from Windsor Christian Fellowship will understand what that looks like! so i get to work on my tan at the same time! Today is Chrishan and Danielle's wedding - they are the powerhouse leaders, and i'm telling you - what an example they are - they are so passionate about the youth and seeing young people's lives changed, Chrishan, the night before his wedding was at powerhouse do the leader's meeting, like i'm telling you, we need more people like that who are totally dedicated to their youth and really living the example - they are getting married on some beach today and we were all invited but without a car, it would be really hard to get there! Anyways God's blessing on them!! so yeah that's all that's really new, it's really hot out today, i'm roasting buckets just sitting here, i wish i could've went to the beach, but in a couple of weeks i think we are going so it's all good!!! well i'm going to Paramatta on monday to get my label put on my passport so i can work, so i'm going to look for jobs - oh that reminds me i need to get my tax file number as well!!! hope everyone is well - please feel free to email me any time all the time!! luv y'all
