Orientation Week

So this week we had orientation - it was tuesday-friday from about 8:30-2 - it was pretty cool - it was basically like being in church all day - there was worship, then a message, then a break, worship, message break, worship, message go home!

Thursday was Hillsong Women, which i don't really understand yet what it's all about but it's every thursday at 9:30am and i'm in hospitality for it - so i think i get to serve food and drinks and stuff, sweet deal! my weekend ministry at this moment just says youth-powerhouse - powerhouse is aged 18-25 but i haven't figured out exactly what i have to do for it - i have to serve 2 services on the weekend and then attend one - and then on top of that i will have a weekly ministry which i don't know what it is yet - that could be anything like street teams, or visiting the elderly, working with single moms etc

i met with my connect group leader on friday - her name is Bec - she is really cool - so our connect group is going to be every other tuesday night

right now i only have classes from tuesday-friday i have mondays off - that is cool

saturday i had a weird day, i all of a sudden felt like i didn't really fit in here at Rosa Crescent which is our apartment building complex - there is like 100 students living here - i haven't had that feeling yet - but everyone here is like 19-20 age group pretty much and i have a hard time hanging out with them - actually it's really weird because i've just been desiring to read books or the bible and stuff, just spend a lot of quiet time which i know is exactly where i'm supposed to be, but i had that weird feeling which was weird - i'm meeting alot of people and everything though and say hi to tons of people but outside of my roommates i don't really hang out with many here in this building - but that's alright once classes start i will meet lots of people so that will be good

i've been crocheting my blanket - it's like half done - i will have to take a picture when i get done - my mp3 player broke, it doesn't work if you put a battery in it - it just flashes green nonstop but if i put it into my computer then i can play the songs

went out for pizza saturday night with a few people and then played scrabble - i lost - man i'm not good at that game - kinda makes me want to play more though

Robert Ferguson has been teaching us a series on praying - he's been going through Paul's letters to see how he prays it's really neat

so i went to the gym 3 times this week plus i think i jumped rope on my balcony one night - that's pretty good!! i like the gym and i found a couple other people who go to the gym as well - actually the one girl it ends up is in my connect group - i'm excited - she is an exercise specialist -so we basically studied the same thing so that is good

anyways don't know what else to write right now, i'm sure there was more but it's late and my brain is shutting down - all my roommates have class tomorrow and i don't so i guess i can sleep in - be a weird day all by myself

goodnight

i know what i wanted to write - they found a solution to our bus shuttle situation - we have a bus now - but we have to sign up for a spot because the bus only holds 20 people - some people have bought cars so it lessens the people that need the bus - and the bus is free!!! praise God!!
