First Week of Classes

Alright, so i had my first week of classes - i have no classes on monday, tuesday is a long day i go right from 8:30 - 5 but i have one hour break between 10:30-11:30, wednesday is the same thing - thursday i have no actual classes but i have hillsong women in the morning, so i'm there at 8am to help set up - i'm on the hospitality team, so we serve toast, coffee, tea and fruit etc - we have prayer meeting at 9, then people come in around 9:30 for food and drinks, then the meeting starts at 10 and is over around noon - the beauty of me serving on hospitality is that i actually get to be in the meeting, where some people who serve in kids etc don't get to see hillsong women at all which is a bummer for them - then in the afternoon from 2-5 is our weekly ministry which i just found out, mine involves going to a university campus and serving people there - making relationships and just being there to serve them for the most part and then eventually getting them connected with our youth ministry etc - fridays all i have is chapel and then tutorial so i'm done at noon on fridays - so if you are thinking of good times to call me, best for now would be your sunday nights and thursday nights, friday nights so that's pretty good

we got bombarded with a million assignments this week - like i have like 6 due in april, one due next week and one due in march - plus the colour conference is coming up in march and they say that you are so busy that week that if you are not on top of your assignments now, it's going to be tough after that because you get so busy

so i've been feeling a bit overwhelmed - during breaks at school, it's hard to find a quiet place to go, there are people everywhere because we all have the same schedule and it's great to have people to talk to and all, but sometimes you just need your own space etc - anyways no worries - funny story though, man, God is so good - he is totally directing my steps - like i was totally planning when he directed me back to youth ministries - i thought for sure i was going to be doing wildlife age which is gr 9 -12 people and then i get put in powerhouse which is ages 18-25 and i was like "what?" and then when i went to the meeting on thursday to find out exactly what i would be doing and then told me university ministry, i was like "i don't want to do this" but as i listened to it, i got so excited, i knew it was exactly where i was supposed to be, it reminded me of when i was in Edmonton and the outreaches and stuff we did there, so i just realized that God is just continuing on with that stuff with me - and i heard it's a pretty stretching experience so i'm stoked for that - if you could just pray though - only one person on our team has a car, and since the university isn't exactly close to us, we need a way to get there

i don't know what else to tell you about this week or what's happening here i'm just really excited about what God is doing, i just can't believe how amazing he is and how he is just totally in control, he so knows me better than i know myself and where my strengths lie etc its fantastic!
