The Death and Resurrection of Christ
This weekend is Easter weekend as everyone is aware of. I've heard the story a zillion times as many of us have. This year though i was blessed to attend a Spring Rally in Wallaceburg Ontario put on by the Western Association of Baptist Youth (WABY) and it was a great service. The speaker had some really great things to say. One of the things i really took from that message was that there is always Spiritual Battles going on in our lives but as well, there are severe consequences to our lack of prayer in our own lives etc. That really stuck out at me. And then this morning i went to church and our church was packed. It was such a great site to see. And again, figuring the story would be the same, wasn't extremely excited for the message. But our pastor always has this way of bringing new things into it to make you see things in a different way. The worship was awesome, the message was awesome, and i came home feeling so encouraged and so renewed and excited to continue to grow stronger in my relationship to Christ. I had been feeling pretty dry in the last few weeks - i went to Florida but didn't have great weather etc and then have come home and started working 2 jobs. So it's been kinda crazy and God hasn't been number one in my life these last few weeks and i've noticed a big difference (as I should) when i make Him first in my life
